INGREDIENTS YOU NEED:
100g butter
115g (1/3 cup) golden syrup
1 egg yolk
BAKING TOOLS YOU NEED:
Mixing bowl
Egg beater
Spoon
Baking trays
Baking paper
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 180c / 160c fan bake. Soften butter and add brown sugar from cellophane bag. Beat until light and creamy. Add golden syrup and egg yolk and beat until combined. Add contents of jar and mix to a dough. Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead until dough is smooth. Roll out to 5mm thickness and cut out gingerbread-men shapes. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Place M&Ms for eyes & buttons. Bake for 10-11 mins until golden.
Chill the dough if it’s too soft before rolling.
Baking + decorating = double the fun.
That warm ginger spice smells incredible.

I bought these as xmas prezzies and they are just amazing. Looks great and love the colourful ribbon.
The concept and product are really great, I wanted to get it for Miss 7 who lives in a distant city – and we often bake together.
However, only issue was that once the order was dispatched it took about 5 days to arrive and there was no tracking – I held up sending Miss 7’s entire Xmas present and she received it on the last courier on Xmas eve. Tracking is necessary these days, I had no idea if it would turn up at all.
I bought this as a Christmas gift and think it’s a lovely present to receive. So beautifully presented and the cooking instructions are very clear.
